Walking above Lake Como today on the hunt for something new.  It’s becoming hard to find something new now-we’ve almost exhausted the supply of alpine plants that I can find in flower.  We’ve been so lucky.  Today brought forth just one flower on a tiny Dianthus I had been waiting for….  I won’t bore you with the pic. As it’s incredibly small too.   Instead here’s one of the wonderful view from the end of the lake with Intrepid Explorer Phil setting out yet again… This time above Lake Como right at the northern end after getting our little Nissan Micra up countless bends in the road!  I had my doubts about this little car – but it’s been so brave.
